Commitment, determination and the ability to embrace new challenges: the results achieved by BDC School students in the 2026 Cambridge IGCSE examinations reflect the value of an educational journey built over time through dedication, curiosity and future-focused academic preparation.

We are proud to share two particularly significant achievements:

  • 100% of students achieved grades ranging from A to C in Economics;*

  • 85% of students achieved grades ranging from A to C in scientific subjects.*

These percentages refer specifically to the A*–C grades achieved by BDC School students in the 2026 Cambridge IGCSE examinations.

These results represent an important achievement for our entire school community. Above all, they demonstrate the outstanding abilities of our students, who approached every stage of their journey with dedication, consistency and a strong sense of responsibility.

An Achievement Built Throughout the Entire Educational Journey.

Success in an international examination is not achieved solely in the weeks leading up to the assessments. It is the result of a gradual process built on consolidated knowledge, skills developed over time and the ability to apply what has been learned in different contexts.

Throughout the Cambridge IGCSE programme, BDC School students were supported in developing an in-depth understanding of subject content, making connections across disciplines and applying their knowledge with confidence and awareness.

They learned to analyse problems, justify their answers, interpret data and information, and approach examinations with an increasingly independent study method.

The 2026 results therefore recognise not only the level of preparation achieved at the time of the examinations, but the students’ entire learning journey: lessons, projects, practice activities, opportunities for discussion, challenges overcome and the determination they demonstrated in pursuing their goals.

100% A-C Grades in Economics*

The result achieved in Economics is particularly significant: 100% of BDC School students obtained a grade ranging from A to C.*

Economics requires students to understand complex phenomena, interpret data, analyse different scenarios and evaluate the effects of economic decisions on society. It is not simply about learning definitions and concepts, but about developing the ability to observe the world with critical thinking and awareness.

This result reflects the students’ ability to:

  • understand the main economic mechanisms;

  • read and interpret data and information;

  • develop clear and coherent arguments;

  • apply their knowledge to real-world situations;

  • develop a critical understanding of the contemporary world.

The outstanding performance in Economics also confirms the importance BDC School places on Entrepreneurship, one of the pillars of the school’s educational approach.

Educating students in entrepreneurship means encouraging initiative, responsibility, creativity and the ability to transform an idea into a tangible project. These skills are valuable not only for their future careers, but also for making personal and academic choices with greater awareness.

85% A-C Grades in Scientific Subjects*

Another highly significant achievement concerns the scientific subjects, in which 85% of students obtained grades ranging from A to C*.

Scientific disciplines require precision, a rigorous method, keen observation skills and a solid understanding of processes. Students must be able to formulate hypotheses, analyse evidence, interpret results and apply theoretical knowledge to problem-solving.

This performance demonstrates the students’ strong preparation and the value of BDC School’s STEAM approach, which integrates science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics through interdisciplinary learning experiences.

Through practical activities, laboratory work and projects, students are encouraged to experiment, explore possible solutions and understand that mistakes can also be an important part of the learning process.

The aim is not simply to achieve strong examination results, but to develop scientific and transferable skills that enable students to navigate an increasingly complex and technology-driven world.

Cambridge IGCSE: An International Education.

The Cambridge IGCSE is an international programme designed primarily for students aged 14 to 16. Its approach supports the development of strong subject knowledge, critical thinking, analytical skills and independence in learning.

Preparation is not based solely on memorising content. Students are expected to understand, connect, explain and apply what they have learned.

At BDC School, the Cambridge pathway forms part of a broader educational project in which Internationality, STEAM, Design Approach, Entrepreneurship and Sport contribute to each student’s well-rounded development.

English becomes a language for learning and discussion, while the international dimension helps students broaden their perspectives and prepare for future academic experiences in Italy or abroad.

From Cambridge IGCSE to Cambridge International AS & A Levels.

After completing the Cambridge IGCSE, students can progress to Cambridge International AS & A Levels, advanced academic qualifications that allow them to explore their chosen subjects in greater depth and further develop analytical skills, critical thinking and independent study.

The programme enables students to build an academic pathway aligned with their interests, abilities and future university goals.

Following a continuous pathway at BDC School that includes preparation for both Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Levels offers significant educational continuity. Students are supported progressively within an environment that understands their learning journey, recognises their potential and guides them in preparing for their academic future.

The Value of Our Students and the Role of Our Teachers. At the heart of these achievements are, first and foremost, our students.

They deserve the greatest recognition for the consistency they demonstrated in their studies, the maturity they showed and their ability to meet the demands of a challenging academic programme without losing their curiosity or desire to grow.

Every result reflects hours of study, questions, practice, revision and new insights. It also represents the ability to respond to difficulties, learn from mistakes and move forward with determination.

Alongside the students, our teachers played a fundamental role, supporting them with expertise, care and consistency. Their work transformed examination preparation into a broader educational experience that developed not only knowledge, but also independence, confidence and self-awareness.

The 2026 Cambridge IGCSE results are therefore the outcome of a shared commitment among students, teachers and families.

A High-Quality Cambridge Pathway at a Competitive Cost.

BDC School is committed to making international education accessible to an increasing number of families.

For this reason, the school offers a comprehensive and well-structured Cambridge pathway, enabling students to prepare for and sit the Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge International AS & A Level examinations at BDC School, while maintaining competitive fees compared with many other schools and institutions offering similar international programmes.

The opportunity to complete both the preparation and the examinations within the same school environment promotes continuity, organisation and familiarity, without requiring families to rely on separate external programmes.

Academic quality, personalised support and attention to the overall affordability of the pathway are therefore central elements of the BDC School educational offering.

Building Tomorrow’s Skills Today.

The 100% A–C pass rate in Economics* and 85% A–C pass rate in scientific subjects* are achievements of which we are deeply proud.

These are significant figures, but behind every percentage are students who believed in their abilities, worked consistently and approached an international challenge with determination.

We extend our warmest congratulations to every student and to the teachers who supported them throughout their journey.

These results confirm the value of BDC School’s Cambridge pathway and strengthen our commitment to preparing curious, confident and capable students who are ready to face their future with confidence.
