NURSERY
The BDC School Nursery welcomes children from 1 to 3 years old, offering a continuous educational path with the kindergarten, in an intercultural environment and English language immersion. In our Nursery, every aspect is designed and organized to meet the needs of children's well-being, play, expression, and relationships. Spaces, furnishings, and play proposals are designed to promote the development of relationships, communication, learning, and growth of children.
Our educational approach integrates the principles of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), promoted by the British Ministry of Education, and those of the Italian pedagogical culture. We recognize the value of children's individuality, positive relationships, an environment suitable for their development and learning, and respect for the different times and ways of learning for each child. Nursery educators are dedicated to promoting personal, social, emotional, communication, language, and motor development, fundamental for the construction of future learning. The BDC School Nursery is organized into two reference groups, according to different ages, and offers various activities, including:

KINDERGARTEN
The BDC School Kindergarten is dedicated to children aged 3 to 5, offering a development environment designed to promote the harmonious growth of the child in terms of identity, autonomy, competence, and introduction to global citizenship. In our Kindergarten, we pay great attention to the person, affectivity, emotions, and the quality of social and educational dialogue with families, to promote the well-being of children from the first months of school. Our laboratory and project-based didactics, oriented to design, and the variety of proposed languages support the child's natural curiosity, developing research, sharing, comparison, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. The intercultural environment and English language immersion promote cosmopolitan education, while the spaces of our kindergarten are designed to convey welcome, beauty, and respect, fostering formation through play. Children are divided into homogeneous groups by age: Pre-School (3-4 years) and Reception (4-5 years). Children aged 5 to 6 follow the Year 1 educational program, a transitional phase between kindergarten and primary school. The kindergarten path at BDC School integrates children's play and exploration activities with educational activities that adhere to high international quality standards.
Aged 2 to 5, we adopt the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC), which develops fundamental areas of learning through a play-based and holistic inquiry-based approach. The IEYC program is integrated with educational experiences that use design process tools, allowing children to discover, experiment, and ideate through various languages, from arts to sciences to digital. The kindergarten path at BDC School develops the following learning areas: Well-being, emotions, and sociability; Language and communication (in Italian and English); Motor skills; Expressive languages and project work; Literacy (reading and writing); Logical-mathematical thinking and problem-solving.
