Cambridge IGCSE & A-Levels Programme

“INNOVATION
IS IRRESISTIBLE, PROGRESS
IS INEVITABLE, RESISTANCE IS FUTILE.”

James Gleick

BDC School is proud to announce that, starting from September 2025, students will have the opportunity to follow an international academic pathway leading to Cambridge IGCSE and A-Levels qualifications.

As an official Cambridge International School, BDC offers a globally recognised curriculum designed to prepare students for admission to leading universities worldwide.

During the first two years of the programme, students can choose up to eight IGCSE subjects from a broad and diverse selection, including those listed below and many others.

These internationally recognised qualifications provide a strong academic foundation and develop the knowledge, skills and critical thinking needed for the next stage of the programme: the Cambridge International A-Levels.

Cambridge IGCSE qualifications are recognised by more than 10,000 schools, colleges and universities worldwide and represent one of the most widely respected international programmes for students aged 14–16.

In the final two years of the pathway, students choose between three and five A-Level subjects, allowing them to specialise in areas aligned with their academic interests and future university goals.

This stage leads to an internationally respected diploma and prepares students for admission to universities in Italy and around the world.

More than 90% of UK universities, together with many leading institutions globally, accept A-Levels for direct entry into undergraduate programmes thanks to their strong academic rigour and subject depth.

As part of this programme, all students will:

• Study English language and culture, ensuring strong international awareness while remaining connected to the local context.

• Engage in “Made in Italy” project-based learning, reflecting BDC School’s distinctive approach to creativity, design and innovation.

Signature initiatives include projects such as F1 in Schools and interdisciplinary challenges inspired by the excellence of Italian culture and industry.

According to a Cambridge International survey (2022), 98% of students who studied IGCSEs and A Levels reported feeling well prepared for higher education or employment.

This international pathway further strengthens BDC School’s commitment to providing a forward-thinking education that combines global perspective with strong local roots.
